Job Title: Support Worker
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed Support Worker to join a supportive setting in the Sheffield area, helping individuals with additional needs to thrive in their daily routines and educational or social environments. This role is perfect for someone who is caring, reliable, and ready to provide tailored assistance.

As Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day support for individuals with varying needs, promoting independence and wellbeing.
  • Assist with personal care, daily routines, and social development activities.
  • Support individuals in accessing learning opportunities and community engagement.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and ensure safeguarding practices are followed at all times.

Requirements for Support Worker:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication, patience, and empathy skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative when needed.
  • Flexibility and commitment to promoting equality and inclusion.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
