SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Louth, Lincolnshire
Contract: Long-Term or Supply
Salary: £88 – £105 per day

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support schools in the Louth area. This role is perfect for someone with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a background in the care sector, who is passionate about helping children and young people thrive.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, both in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis. You’ll play a key role in helping learners access the curriculum, develop their social and emotional skills, and build confidence in their abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEN in lessons and during activities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions where required

  • Promote independence and positive behaviour strategies

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience working within SEN education or in a care background

  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting learners

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
