About the Role:
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in empowering individuals to manage their mental health, build resilience, and develop essential life skills. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the well-being and independence of those you support.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- Assist with daily living activities and encourage healthy routines.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to implement tailored support plans.
- Build trusting, supportive relationships to promote confidence and engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with individuals with mental health needs is desirable.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to care and support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications in mental health or therapeutic support (advantageous).
To work with GSL Education as a Mental Health Support Worker, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
