Dance Teacher – Fareham
Full Time | Permanent | January Start | £30,000 – £50,000 per annum

GSL Education are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Dance Teacher to join a secondary school in Fareham on a full-time, permanent basis, starting in January. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and passionate educator to lead and deliver high-quality dance lessons, nurturing students’ technical skills, creativity, and performance abilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, inspiring students to achieve their full potential in both practical and theoretical aspects of dance. The role offers the chance to contribute to a vibrant Performing Arts department and to participate in school performances and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and innovative Dance lessons across key stages.

  • Inspire and motivate students to develop their dance technique, creativity, and confidence.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources.

  • Support and lead extracurricular dance activities, performances, and school events.

  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and a positive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS, be an ECT, or possess an overseas teaching qualification recognised in the UK.

  • Have experience teaching Dance at secondary level or equivalent performing arts experience.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Be committed to inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential.

  • Be adaptable, creative, and able to contribute positively to the wider school community.
