Salary: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate English Teacher eager to engage students with the power of words, ideas, and communication? GSL Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Doncaster from Easter Term 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to make a real impact, helping students to build confidence in their written and verbal skills while achieving academic success.

About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking. You will encourage creativity, analysis, and expression while preparing students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English up to GCSE level, inspiring students of all abilities.

  • Deliver well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Support pupils in developing strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Prepare students for both internal assessments and external examinations.

  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Specialism in English Language or Literature.

  • Experience teaching English at secondary level (GCSE desirable).

  • Strong subject knowledge with a passion for engaging learners.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • A ten-year career history with references covering the past two years, including your most recent role.
