Are you ready to make a real difference in a child’s school journey?
We’re looking for a caring and resilient Behaviour & Learning Mentor to work 1:1 with a pupil in a welcoming primary school in Chelmsford. The role is centred on supporting a child with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them feel supported, engaged, and motivated in their learning.
This school is well-regarded for its warm community feel and inclusive approach. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values creativity, patience, and a positive attitude.
What You’ll Be Doing

Providing consistent 1:1 support for a child with SEMH needs.

Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional resilience.

Supporting learning across the curriculum in and outside the classroom.

Helping the pupil develop social skills and self-confidence.

Working closely with the teacher and SENCO to adapt strategies to individual needs.
What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (education or similar).

A nurturing, empathetic, and adaptable approach.

Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

Someone reliable, patient, and passionate about making a difference.
