Disability Support Worker
Location: Burley
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

Are you passionate about supporting children with disabilities and helping them reach their full potential? GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Disability Support Workers to join schools in Burley.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist pupils with additional needs, providing tailored support to help them access lessons and develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with disabilities in classroom and school activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs.
  • Assist children with daily routines and learning tasks.
  • Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to support pupil development.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable.
  • Relevant childcare, teaching, or support qualifications (CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to individual pupil needs.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
