Teaching Assistant
Location: Wareham
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and helping them reach their full potential? GSL Education are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join schools in Wareham.
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work alongside teachers to support pupils within the classroom, helping them access lessons and develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will assist with individual and small group support, encourage positive behaviour, and contribute to creating a safe, nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
- Assist children across different age groups with their academic and social development.
- Promote independence, confidence, and a love for learning.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different age groups and learning needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
