Learning Support Worker
Location: Lytchett Minster
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and helping them thrive? GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Workers to join schools in Lytchett Minster.
As a Learning Support Worker, you will support teachers and pupils in the classroom, helping children access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will work with individual pupils or small groups, assisting with learning activities, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting social and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, including those with SEN or other learning challenges.
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence in learning.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and staff to support pupils’ progress.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different age groups and learning needs.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
