A Classroom Support Worker is required in Ringwood!

Classroom Support Worker
Location: Ringwood
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

Are you enthusiastic about supporting children in their learning journey? GSL Education are seeking passionate and reliable Classroom Support Workers to join schools in Ringwood.

As a Classroom Support Worker, you will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and provide individual and small group support to pupils. You will play a key role in promoting learning, wellbeing, and personal development, ensuring all students can reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to pupils in the classroom.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Encourage student participation and promote positive behaviour.
  • Support pupils with varying academic, emotional, and social needs.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.
  • CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, Health & Social Care, Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualifications (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Adaptability, patience, and a supportive approach to learning.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
