Salary: £86 – £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within schools across Chesterfield. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing nurturing, structured support to help pupils thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Work closely with teachers to deliver personalised learning plans.
- Support behaviour management and promote emotional regulation strategies.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements for the SEMH TA role:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or additional needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build resilience and encourage independence in pupils.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
