SEN Instructor

Are you an experienced SEN practitioner looking to take on a rewarding new challenge? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled SEN Instructor to join a supportive specialist setting in Braintree this September.

This role is ideal for someone with strong SEN experience who is confident in leading learning, delivering tailored sessions, and supporting students with a range of additional needs. You’ll play a key role in helping learners develop both academically and personally, ensuring they are engaged, supported, and given the tools to succeed.

The Role:

• Deliver and lead engaging, differentiated lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

• Work with learners across a range of abilities, including those with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH and complex learning needs.

• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment that promotes progress and independence.

• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and SENCOs to adapt learning and provide targeted interventions.

• Track student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.

About You:

• Previous experience working as an SEN Instructor, Teacher, or HLTA with a strong background in SEN.

• Confident in managing classroom behaviour and creating a calm, supportive environment.

• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills.

• Passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
