GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Hull, starting immediately. This role is ideal for teachers with experience in SEND who are committed to creating supportive and engaging learning experiences tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teacher role:
- Plan and deliver lessons adapted to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external agencies to deliver personalised support.
- Monitor progress through individual education plans (IEPs) and adjust strategies as needed.
- Promote students’ independence, confidence, and social development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- QTS or recognised overseas teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching in an SEN or alternative provision setting.
- Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and behaviour support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
