Are you passionate about making a difference? We’re on the lookout for a warm, enthusiastic, and resilient SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Maldon. This is your chance to play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs, helping them flourish both inside and outside the classroom.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils with a range of needs (including autism, ADHD, and speech & language challenges) on a 1:1 and small-group basis.

  • Working hand-in-hand with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons and ensure every child feels included.

  • Helping children develop their confidence, independence, and social skills.

  • Preparing resources, supporting classroom activities, and bringing plenty of positivity to the day.

  • Tracking progress and feeding back to staff and parents where needed.

  • Contributing to IEPs and EHCPs to make sure every child gets the support they deserve.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience supporting children (school-based or otherwise).

  • A patient, caring nature and a can-do attitude.

  • Knowledge of SEN strategies is a bonus, but training can be provided.

  • Someone who’s just as happy working in a team as they are taking the initiative.

  • A great communicator who’s passionate about helping children succeed.
