Pay Rate: £155 - £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic History Teacher to join a school in Bawtry. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality lessons, engage pupils in historical thinking, and foster a love for the subject.

Role Overview:
As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ knowledge of historical events, critical thinking skills, and understanding of different cultures and time periods. You will contribute to a positive learning environment and support pupils in achieving their academic potential.

As a History Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons across the History curriculum.
  • Create engaging, inclusive, and stimulating learning experiences.
  • Monitor pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.
  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and independent learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, department heads, and parents to support student development.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour management, and pupil welfare.

Requirements for History Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in History.
  • Excellent classroom management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire pupils of varying abilities.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
