Salary: £88.94 – £114.84 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are looking to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Louth, working across EYFS – KS2 to help children reach their full potential.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in creating an inclusive and positive classroom environment, working closely with teachers to deliver personalised learning support. You will help pupils to develop both academically and socially, ensuring they have the best possible school experience.

Your Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Offering one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN across EYFS – KS2.
  • Assisting in delivering engaging lessons and adapting activities to suit individual needs.
  • Encouraging children’s confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Supporting teachers with classroom organisation and preparation of resources.
  • Collaborating with staff, SENCOs, and parents to ensure children’s needs are met.
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Skills & Requirements:

  • CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience supporting SEN children within a school environment.
  • EYFS – KS2 classroom experience is essential.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach to working with children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
