Salary: £88.94 – £114.84 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Brigg, providing support across EYFS – KS2.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored one-to-one and small group support. You will help children with additional needs feel included, motivated, and confident in their learning, whilst ensuring they are supported both academically and emotionally. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in pupils’ educational experiences.

Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN across EYFS – KS2 in classroom and intervention settings.
  • Assisting with lesson delivery and differentiated learning activities.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to pupils’ needs.
  • Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive behaviour.
  • Assisting with classroom management and resource preparation.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support progress.

SEN TA Requirements:

  • CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working with SEN children in a school setting.
  • EYFS – KS2 experience is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach to supporting children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
