Salary: £88.94 – £114.84 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS – KS2 in schools based in Grimsby.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring children with additional needs feel supported, included, and motivated in their learning. You will assist teachers in adapting lessons, provide tailored one-to-one and small group support, and help create a nurturing classroom environment where every child can achieve their potential.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN in both classroom and intervention settings.
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities.
  • Offering one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs.
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Assisting teachers with classroom management and learning resources.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support progress.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience working with SEN children in a school setting.
  • EYFS – KS2 experience is essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • A patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach to supporting learning.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
