Salary: £88.94 – £114.84 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Cleethorpes, supporting pupils across EYFS – KS2.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to children with a range of additional needs, both inside and outside the classroom. You will work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning activities, help manage behaviour, and ensure each child is fully included in their education.

SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN in their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and differentiated learning.
  • Providing one-to-one or small group interventions to support progress.
  • Encouraging independence and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Assisting with behaviour management and implementing support strategies.
  • Collaborating with staff and parents to meet individual learning needs.

SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Requirements:

  • CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with SEN children in a school setting.
  • EYFS – KS2 experience is essential.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
