MFL Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S4)
Salary: £155 – £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a passionate Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher eager to inspire students and bring languages to life in the classroom?
GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL Teacher to work within schools in Sheffield.
As an MFL Teacher, you will deliver engaging and interactive lessons in languages such as French, Spanish, or German. You will support students’ progress across key stages 3, 4 and 5, helping them to build strong linguistic skills while encouraging cultural awareness and appreciation of global diversity.
MFL Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating MFL lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach and support students across key stages, ensuring progress in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Develop students’ cultural understanding alongside their language learning.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress effectively.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and extra-curricular activities, such as language clubs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise achievement and attainment.
Skills and Requirements for an MFL Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in French, German, Spanish, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages in schools.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire a love for languages and culture in young learners.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
