Salary: £155 – £220 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a talented and dedicated Art Teacher to join schools in Sheffield.
About the Role:
As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and artistic skills. You will guide students through a range of artistic techniques and media while supporting their academic progress and personal expression.
Responsibilities of an Art Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic Art lessons in line with the curriculum across key stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Inspire creativity and encourage students to express themselves through different artistic mediums.
- Assess, record, and report on students’ progress.
- Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that celebrates artistic achievement.
- Encourage students to develop critical appreciation and understanding of art and culture.
- Participate in school events, exhibitions, and extra-curricular activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the overall development of the department.
Art Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching Art in schools.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students across key stages.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
