SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rustington
Salary: £85 – £95 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools in Rustington, providing vital support to pupils in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important part in ensuring that children with additional needs can access the curriculum and achieve their potential. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, individually or in small groups.
- Assist the class teacher with learning activities and differentiated tasks.
- Encourage students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Support behaviour management strategies within the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external specialists.
- Prepare resources and materials to support individual learning needs.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare/Teaching Assistance, or relevant qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Experience supporting children, ideally those with SEN.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive approach.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
