Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Scunthorpe
Rate: £88.94 – £114.84 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our welcoming team in Scunthorpe. If you have experience supporting children across EYFS to KS2, especially those with special educational needs, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you’ll work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs. You’ll help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning plans
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN across EYFS to KS2
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for inclusive education
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or education (desirable)
