SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Killamarsh (S21)
Salary: £95 – £120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join schools in Killamarsh, providing essential classroom and one-to-one support for pupils who need it most.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support for students with additional needs. This role requires patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to help children engage with the curriculum, develop their confidence, and thrive in the school environment.
Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and adapting resources.
- Support students with their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Encourage independence and build confidence in learning.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCOs.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Requirements:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare/Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, nurturing, and patient approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
