GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference to their learning and development.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with special educational needs.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning plans.

  • Support pupils both in and outside of the classroom to help them reach their full potential.

  • Encourage independence, build confidence, and promote positive social and emotional development.

  • Assist with classroom activities, behaviour management, and daily routines.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, healthcare, youth work, or similar settings will be considered).

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils.

  • A proactive and flexible approach to meeting individual needs.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
