SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Chichester
Salary: £85 – £95 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join schools in Chichester, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside teachers and other staff to provide tailored support to children with a variety of special educational needs. Your role will involve helping pupils to access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop both socially and academically. This position is ideal for someone who is patient, empathetic, and eager to positively impact young learners.
Your Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist in planning and delivering activities that meet individual learning needs.
- Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence.
- Support the management of classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions.
- Track and record progress, feeding back to teachers and parents as needed.
- Adapt resources and teaching approaches to ensure accessibility for all pupils.
- Contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare/Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting.
- Understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
