Behaviour Mentor – Boston

Are you passionate about helping young people overcome challenges and achieve their full potential? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support students in a school in Boston.

This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) education setting or experience as a Support Worker, who is committed to making a lasting positive impact.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for students displaying challenging behaviour.

  • Support the development of emotional regulation, resilience, and positive coping strategies.

  • Encourage engagement with learning and build trusting, supportive relationships.

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement individual support plans.

  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience within an SEMH school or provision, or as a Support Worker supporting vulnerable young people.

  • Be calm, empathetic, and resilient, with strong behaviour management skills.

  • Be proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to a variety of situations.

  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young people.

  • Hold a current enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply through GSL Education).
