PMLD Teaching Assistant – Immingham

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Immingham. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), helping them to access education in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with PMLD.

  • Assist with personal care needs and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.

  • Support pupils in developing communication, independence, and life skills.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver tailored learning opportunities.

  • Create a positive, nurturing environment where all students can thrive.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous SEN education experience or experience in a care setting.

  • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient with a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs.

  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

  • Be flexible and proactive in adapting to students’ individual needs.

  • Hold a current enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education).
