Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)

Salary: £88.94 - £104.84 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/ Long Term, Full time / Part time

GSL Education are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join schools in Louth, where you’ll have the chance to positively impact children’s educational journeys.

In this role, you will collaborate with class teachers to support daily lessons, offer targeted assistance to pupils, and help create a stimulating learning environment. You will play a key part in helping children of all abilities progress, fostering both their academic development and personal confidence in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to pupils across EYFS – KS2.
  • Deliver 1:1 or small group interventions to reinforce learning.
  • Assist in preparing teaching resources and classroom activities.
  • Encourage pupil participation and promote positive behaviour.
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements for Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Experience working with children within EYFS – KS2.
  • CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification is desirable.
  • Ability to adapt to different classroom settings and support learning effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their progress.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
