Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Haringey
Salary: £88 – £110 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist school based in Haringey. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin immediately and work closely with students who have a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, ensuring their academic and social development.

  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and implement tailored support strategies.

  • Encourage independence, resilience, and confidence in pupils through consistent encouragement.

  • Support behaviour management strategies and contribute to a positive classroom environment.

  • Promote inclusion and safeguard the wellbeing of every child.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.

  • Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting young learners.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
