Year 5 Teacher
Location: Folkestone, Kent
Salary: £120 - £250 per day
Start date: Term 2 (October Half-Term 2025)
Contract: Part-time, Temporary (Fixed-term to July 2026)

If so, then we at GSL Education Kent would love to hear from you. We have a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a warm and inclusive church school located near Folkestone. The selected candidate will work as part of a job-share partnership, teaching a Year 5 class every Thursday and Friday. There is also a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to take on a subject leadership responsibility.

The successful Year 5 Teacher will play a key role in maintaining this inspiring learning journey for their pupils.
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be expected to:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons for Year 5 every Thursday and Friday.
- Work collaboratively with the job-share partner to ensure consistency and continuity for the class.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress and attainment.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the school's values.
- Potentially lead a subject across the school, with a particular interest in PSHE using the Jigsaw scheme.
In order to be considered for this Year 5 Teacher role, the candidate must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 or 6 experience is desirable).
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Be a collaborative, reflective practitioner with excellent communication skills.
