Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2025 / As soon as possible
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 – MPS/UPS
Contract: Full Time, 1 Year

GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join a highly supportive secondary school in York. This is a full-time position, commencing as soon as possible, and is expected to run for the full academic year.

About the Role as a Business Studies Teacher:

  • Teach engaging and challenging Business Studies lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the curriculum. The school follows OCR for GCSE and EdExcel at A-Level with Pearson BTEC Level 2 Tech Award in Enterprise also offered.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Create an inspiring learning environment that promotes achievement and progress.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development.

Business Studies Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent such as QTLS or a Cert Ed.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies at GCSE and ideally A-Level.
  • A strong classroom presence with excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to raising student achievement and promoting a positive learning environment.
