What Our Teachers Say
Schools are often in need of extra help in the classroom, and one effective way of getting this help and increasing the number of people entering teaching programmes is to employ learning support, teaching or classroom assistants. For candidates, this is a great way to get some practical school experience, develop your skills, or give back to your community.
LSAs and TAs support the class teacher, helping to improve student-teacher ratios and giving students more individual attention. It's a requirement of teacher training courses that applicants have some school and/or teaching experience, so it’s a win-win situation! The school get the extra help they need, while preparing the next generation of teachers. To be an LSA or TA, you must be a patient, reliable and committed individual with the potential to develop strong behaviour management skills and a genuine enthusiasm for education. For a paid LSA or TA position schools usually prefer those who already have some teaching experience; first positions within schools are often voluntary positions without payment.
Our client schools all employ TAs and LSAs and so if you’re interested in working with us, or in becoming a TA or LSA, please either register with us, or call us on
